FAQs
What tenants usually ask before buying their first home in Dubai.
Can expats buy property in Dubai?
Yes. Foreign nationals can buy freehold property in designated areas of Dubai, which include most of the city's popular communities.
How much do I need upfront?
For a ready home with a mortgage, plan for around 20% of the price plus about 7% in fees, including the 4% Dubai Land Department fee. Many off-plan projects start from 10–20% with the rest paid in instalments.
Will my monthly payment really be similar to my rent?
For many tenants it can be. It depends on the property price, your deposit, the bank's rate and the loan term. Your advisor will show you real figures for your situation.
Can buying a home get me a Golden Visa?
Property worth AED 2 million or more can make the owner eligible for the UAE's 10-year Golden Visa, subject to current government rules.
Is there any cost for the breakdown?
No. The consultation is free and there's no obligation to buy.
